The Doorman Reads a Newspaper in the Lobby

by Steven J. Serafiani

*****
there are we
contrail
the syncope of all
washed and stacked and put away

****
fucking wash red!
the neighbors hear assured
paper weight upright walls
cinderella; tend

***
metaphors they pour vino
exhausted
block down pickup backfires
had to have it pigeoned- the gall

**
seven, what a notion
Pleiades-
oh babydoll, plate it
what a jumble and not the Times

*
the dour pair prepare din-din
just a sidestep about kids
biology, the fennel listens in
the ginger sits grounded.
