a simple poem

by Steven J. Serafiani

and our limbs swing wild
and our limbs lay entangled
once feral
now returned
and we sink into this memory foam
and we sink into this caspian
once alone
now enclosed
can it be so simple?
to look at you and truly want to stay
to get closer
to whisper with temples touching
it’s okay baby
it’s all going to be okay.
